Customer Story | Electrification of Aviation

Air traffic contributes up to 3.1% of global CO₂ emissions, a figure expected to triple by 2050 without effective countermeasures. To address this, the German Research Foundation (DFG) funded the SE²A Cluster of Excellence to develop a climate-neutral air transport system. The future of flight is electric, but transitioning to electric propulsion comes with significant technical hurdles, such as managing highly dynamic voltage transients and integrating advanced power-electronic topologies.

Together with equipment from EA Elektro-Automatik, Tektronix supports the E²AGLE research project, which is developing next-generation electric propulsion systems for aircraft. Precise measurement and test solutions ensure reliable results even at high voltages and during dynamic transients.

Read the story to discover how Tektronix is accelerating climate-neutral aircraft propulsion—and how it can inspire and advance your projects.
