For years now, the transportation industry has consisted of four modes of transportation—cars, trains, boats, and airplanes. In 2013, the Hyperloop—a conceptual high-speed transportation system in which pressurized vehicles travel through near-vacuum tubes—was introduced.

Delft Hyperloop’s latest pod, DH09 “THEIA,” is on a mission to develop a climate-neutral, scalable hyperloop system and to become the fifth mode of transportation.
